Macalister Group announces the Nikon Ambassador Program. (Press Release).
Macalister Group, as the Nikon Authorised Distributor for New Zealand, is pleased to announce the launch of the Nikon Ambassador Program. World-wide Nikon acknowledges outstanding photography and here in NZ we’ve asked award winning photographers Chris McLennan and Andrew Cornaga to represent Nikon as masters of their trade.
Nikon Ambassadors live and breathe a (somewhat addictive) passion for capturing that one perfect moment. Our ambassadors have been selected due to their command and innovation in their chosen field of photography. Their dedication and commitment to photography is not only respected in NZ but on a worldwide basis.
The aim of the program is to translate the passion of our ambassadors into the education and inspiration of budding and existing photographers alike to capture great images using Nikon equipment. Over the coming months both Chris and and Andrew will represent Nikon via public appearances, seminars and workshops, not to mention sharing their great work with the Nikon community on-line.
About Andrew Cornaga
Sport is a huge part of NZ life and photographers like Andrew have been running up and down sports field to capture sporting history for over 20 years. Whether it be cricket, tennis, rugby or other Andrew has shown what his experience can deliver. Andrew has a successful career as one of NZ’s most successful sport photographer winning numerous awards over the years including NZ Sports Journalist of the year (1992 and 2001). Andrew is dedicated to capturing the best moments of NZ and international athletes. Andrew also founded the sports photo agency ‘Photosport’ which he currently directs.
About Chris McLennan
Chris is an internationally renowned tourism, travel and adventure photographer. His photographic assignments have seen him shoot in over 45 different countries to date. Chris’s imagery reflects his passion and skill as a mentor and role model within the field of photography (through his interaction in social media as well as workshops in locations such as Alaska, Fiji, Africa and Norway).
Chris interacts on many social media levels including his blog site (www.beyondf8.com) and now his new app “PhotoTorial” to help budding photographers in their own journey.
After 25 years of shooting Chris’s passion still shines through whether on a commercial location or shooting remote tribes in the wilderness. With most of Chris’s work being on site the selection of gear he uses is carefully selected for not only its technical function, but also its weight, size and durability for the time he spends in tough environments.
