Chris was recently interviewed by Hotel Club (www.hotelclub.com). They are showcasing Australia and New Zealand’s top photographers in a feature called “Travel Photography Tips – from the experts”. Follow the link to see Chris’s full interview, and to read interviews by the other featured photographers. They make for some great reading. A small excerpt from Chris’s interview below…

1  What’s your ultimate travel photography destination?

Anywhere new :) Preferably with wildlife, mountains or primitive cultures. I do find myself returning to Alaska and Papua New Guinea.

2  What in your opinion is Australia / New Zealand’s best kept secret photographic gem?
The Glenorchy board walk, it leaves right from the quaint township of Glenorchy at the head of lake Wakatipu and provides spectacular views and alpine reflections in all directions.

3  What camera equipment do you take on the road?
Nikon D8000, Nikon 14-24, 24 -70, 70-200 and macro lens. Other equipment is decided dependant on the location and subjects that I am shooting.

4  What’s your number 1 tip for amateur travel photographers?
Stay passionate, follow your dreams and don’t be afraid to create your own unique style. Everyone learns from their mistakes.
